To promote a high level of professionalism among practitioners who treat those suffering from eating disorders by promoting ethical and professional standards, offering education and training in the field, certifying those who have met prescribed requirements, promoting public and professional awareness of eating disorders and assisting in prevention efforts.
Individual Membership Category Requirements
Full Member To qualify for Full Membership, an applicant must be a health care professional (as defined in Section IV.A of the Certification Manual). Associate Member
Associate Members are persons interested in eating disorders, and/or the activities of the Association, who are not health care professionals (as defined in Section IV.A). Student Member Students enrolled for 9 semester hrs. Undergraduate or 6 semester hrs is a requirement of this membership category. Graduates are eligible for Student Membership. Proof of enrollment, completion of a Membership Application, and payment of dues are the only requirements. Retired Member Retired members are those people who have officially retired from their professional positions.
