Richard Wilson, PhD, MA, MDIV, MS, Fellow of iaedp™ has extensive experience in developing community organizations providing social services. While serving as a Social Services Commissioner for the city of La Habra , he assisted in the establishment of a non-profit social services support center in Anaheim , incorporated in California under the name LAOS, Inc. As a function of the organizations community outreach, he was elected a member of the Board of Directors of Orange County Halfway House, Inc., a community based ex-offender program that exists today as a model program in Orange County . In 1976, Dr. Wilson accepted a part-time faculty position at Saddleback College and within two years received an innovative instruction grant from the State of California to develop a program in Human Services with emphasis in alcohol/drug studies and eating disorders. He received a second grant to disseminate this model program to other community colleges. He retired as full time faculty at Saddleback in 2002 and continues as Professor Emeritus. Dr. Wilson has served as a Charter Board Member of the International Coalition of Addictions Studies and also as iaedp President. He is the founding President of the International Coalition of Addiction Studies Education (INCASE) and is a current board member. He also served as a former President and is a current board member of the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Educators (CAADE).
