EVA MARIA TRUJILLO CHI VACUAN, MD, CEDS, FAED, FAAP
Graduated magna cum laude from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) Medical School. She received her post-graduate degree in Pediatrics summa cum laude from the ITESM Medical School. She participated in advance training programs in Pediatrics at the Hospital San José de Monterrey as Chief Resident and at the Adolescent and Young Adult Clinical Practice from the Boston Children´s Hospital at Harvard University. She is a cofounder and the Medical Director of the Comenzar de Nuevo Foundation, for the Prevention, Awareness and Treatment of ED. Ten years ago she also founded and directs the Comenzar de Nuevo Eating Disorders Center, a residential and inpatient fourteen-bed treatment center. Dr. Trujillo is a professor of Pediatrics and Nutrition at ITESM Medical School and ITESM School of Nutrition.
Dr. Trujillo is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) from the IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals), Fellow of the AED (Academy for Eating Disorders), International Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Board Certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine in Mexico. She is an active member of several national and international associations of Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, Obesity and Eating Disorders. She Chairs the International Relations Committee of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals. She CoChairs the HispanoLatinoAmerican Chapter and the Sisterhood Committee of the Academy for Eating Disorders.
Dr. Trujillo is a frequent speaker nationally and internationally on Eating Disorders, Obesity and Adolescent Medicine and Young Adult issues. Dr. Trujillo has published several papers and book chapters in the areas of pediatrics, adolescent medicine and eating disorders. She is also the spokesperson from Comenzar de Nuevo for local, national and international media. Dr. Trujillo also runs a private practice of more than 150 new cases each year, specializing in adolescents and young adults with eating disorders. |
