Kourtney Gordon MS, RD/LD, CEDRD has been with Fairwinds Treatment Center since 2000 and serves as Clinical Dietitian and Eating Disorder Program Manager. She is an active member of the AND, Academy for Eating Disorders, iaedp™ and is currently the President for the local iaedp™ Tampa Bay Chapter where she is now serving her 2nd term. She was also recently awarded certification through iaedp™ as a Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietitian (CEDRD).
She earned her undergrad degree in Nutrition Science and Dietetics at the University of Florida, completed her Dietetic Internship at the SUNY of Oneonta and finished up her masters at California University of Pennsylvania in Exercise Science and Health Promotion.
Through the iaedp™ Tampa Chapter Kourtney has been able to work with other colleagues in the field to bring education opportunities to others in the community. She has worked on numerous fundraising projects as well that has assisted the Tampa Bay area in creating free support groups/ networks for those suffering from eating disorders.
At Fairwinds Treatment Center Kourtney is involved in facilitating and counseling patients to begin recovery eating patterns and weight stabilization through educational and experiential activities, as well as act as liaison between departments to ensure the eating disorder program is meeting its goals in facilitating the patient's recovery process. She has spoken at the community and national levels on eating disorders and maintains a private practice as well.
Her main mission in the field is to help those struggling find a way out of their illness and have a more meaningful relationship with food and their bodies.
